R&D Goals
Research
Focuses on mid- to long-term objectives of improving printed circuit board performance by research on technologies providing advancement in electrical and mechanical features as well as allowing more efficient, environmentally benign production processes. AT&S R&D collaborates with university and research partners, vendors and customers for accelerating this process.
Development
Focuses on short-term to medium-term objectives for accelerating the usage of novel processes and materials for use in production and products. Addresses topics associated with high-volume production of PWBs and problems of technology performance in day-to-day use. Demonstrates feasibility using prototypes and demonstration models. Close collaboration with vendors and customers contributes to a rapid development progress.
